| Summary, etc. | La Organización Mundial de la Salud señala actualmente que la falta de higiene personal entre los menores a nivel global ha provocado un aumento en la incidencia de enfermedades causadas por malos hábitos de higiene; datos sorprendentes sobre la incidencia de caries dental en las escuelas, alcanzando está el 90% en niños. Este problema se puede solucionar mediante una buena prevención y unos hábitos de autocuidado adecuados (como la higiene bucal). En Colombia, existe una estrategia integral de atención a la primera infancia que tiene como objetivo romper el ciclo de pobreza y reducir las brechas de desigualdad que afectan a la población infantil. Por lo tanto, el propósito de este artículo es determinar el nivel de conocimientos sobre autocuidado en higiene personal en estudiantes de noveno, décimo y undécimo grado de una Institución Educativa de la ciudad de Barranquilla. |
