Summary, etc. "Este trabajo surge por mi continua y exclusiva dedicación a la universidad, con la consiguiente preocupación sobre la naturaleza de la institución universitaria, su significación y aporte esperado, tanto en la actualidad como en el futuro de la sociedad peruana, así como por las condiciones en que debe cumplir su cometido. La finalidad de una universidad es formar personas con alguna especialidad y con capacidad de generar conocimientos y asumir responsabilidades en función de una deseable evolución de la sociedad. Otra motivación y no menor ha sido que desde hace quince años (desde el año 2000) se me ha encargado dictar el curso de ética para los estudiantes que están terminando el ciclo de licenciatura en la especialidad de Economía en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y posteriormente, a partir de 2006, también para los estudiantes en situación similar en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo, ambos en la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú con la que estoy asociado desde 1963"
