Summary, etc. "Toda pretensión histórica incurre en grandes peligros: teleologismos, historicismos, ideologismos, etc. La propia historia tuvo que aliarse a las condiciones materiales para ser reconocida como ciencia. El cuidado para la producción de una obra de carácter histórico debe ser redoblado. Por otro lado, ese mismo carácter tiene límites que le son inherentes y deben ser respetados: los recortes, las interpretaciones, las perspectivas y las elecciones. No se puede hacer historia sin tener los pies en la tierra, sin recibir algún tipo de herencia o precomprensión. Ambas características indican que quien se aventura en el saber histórico debe tener en mente la dialéctica del distanciamiento y del acercamiento, dialéctica esta indicada por Gadamer en su relectura del papel de la historicidad para el conocimiento científico. En otras palabras, se debe entender que toda narrativa histórica es, en primer lugar, una re-presentación del hecho y hay, allí, un distanciamiento necesario para que no se cometan anacronismos. Pero también es, con el mismo peso, una forma de acercamiento, una forma de reconocer aquello que es próximo de aquello que ya no está presente. Sin esa condición dialéctica, las narrativas históricas pueden caer en meras ficciones o meras posturas aisladas"
