Summary, etc. La presente investigación busca analizar la ley 1257 de 2008 vigente en Colombia, que regula y protege a las mujeres víctimas de la violencia y discriminación. Las mujeres son víctimas de tantos e innumerables maltratos y vulneración de sus derechos humanos por el simple hecho de ser mujer, y estas circunstancias las ponen en desventajas al interior de sus hogares y de la sociedad. En esta investigación se busca el origen de la ley, el camino que se tuvo que recorrer para llegar a la norma hoy vigente y las rutas para ser titulares de dichos derechos.
