Summary, etc. El melanoma subungueal es un subtipo raro de melanoma cutáneo que surge de las estructuras del aparato de uñas. El melanoma subungueal, es raro, representa aproximadamente el 1, de los tumores malignos melanomas. La supervivencia general de 5 años es desproporcionadamente pobre entre un 25, a un 51,, en comparación con otros subtipos histológicos. Esto se ha atribuido al diagnóstico tardío, debido a la presentación clínica. Reportamos un caso clínico, desafiante para el diagnóstico. Con frecuencia es infra diagnosticado clínicamente, con el consiguiente retraso en el diagnóstico histopatológico y en el tratamiento, por lo que su pronóstico se ve a menudo ensombrecido por todo ello.
