Summary, etc.	En el presente estudio se realiza una evaluación del proceso de migración regional que ha ocurrido en Colombia en los periodos 1972-1973 y 1988-1993, probando si las migraciones entre departamentos responden no solo a variables económicas convencionales (como los costos de transporte, los salarios y la tasa de desempleo), sino también al efecto que el espacio y los aspectos geográficos tienen sobre los flujos migratorios.
